This page contains free scripts for the 1Password Windows desktop client. They are offered for convenience and are not essential to the use of this app.
When the virtual cursor is active, Control+F will execute JAWS Find as many people are used to that. When not in the virtual cursor, Control+F equals Find in Vault. An alternative keystroke for Find in Vault, ALT+Windows+F, is available regardless of the state of the virtual cursor.
When searching a vault, JAWS will now echo the first result found, regardless of how many characters have been typed as part of the search.
If characters are inadvertently highlighted in 1Password as part of a secure note, JAWS will not say, Mark and End Mark.
Added spoken guidance when saving and creating a secure note together with when an item from the search results has been selected by pressing Enter.
ALT+Windows+Space will always take you back to the item list, useful when browsing secure note fields in the main 1Password app.
Control+Windows+F moves to filter by item type, such as Secure Notes or Logins.
ALT+Windows+M moves to the system’s main menu.
A Check for Updates feature is also available from JAWS Hotkey Help.
These scripts are offered without any form of technical support. It should be possible to use them with JAWS versions 2023 onward. To repeat, the installation of them is entirely voluntary.
